Collection: Illuminated Bird Paintings

Currently displayed at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre Gallery, as part of the "That's How the Light Gets In" exhibition with Lauren Grace Fox Artist.

Based on the lyrics from Leonard Cohen's song "Anthem":

There is a crack, a crack in everything

That's how the light gets in

this collection of original paintings reflects the yearning we feel to find the light in the darkness, the renewal from destruction, the seedlings of new growth rising from the fallen giants in the forest.

These birds remind us to cherish the prosaic, the everyday, the often-overlooked, and the tiniest of our wild neighbors.
