The memory finding the “Holding Space” inspiration makes me laugh.
After a glorious hike to Witty’s Lagoon, I found the scene I just had to paint.
In the parking lot.
My friends waited patiently while I rooted around in the ditch and underbrush.
Art finds us in the ordinary things.
We just need to hold a space for it.
